This time I'm hoping to backpack through Europe for 2 months. I still need to get the ok from my boss, but he is busy in China for the rest of the month.
I currently have $3,500 saved up for the trip. That should be just enough and I'll still be making money up until I leave. (Travel>>loans?).
I am now trying to decide where I want to go. I definitely want to see Ireland, Italy, and Austria. I really want to see Berlin, Prague, London, France (where I have friends), and Switzerland. I'm considering cutting Switzerland and hiking beautiful mountains elsewhere, but that may be a tough blow. I already removed Spain and since I've been teaching myself Spanish for awhile that was saddening, but not too much.
My current thought is that I will fly into Milan, head to Switzerland or Venice if I cut Switzerland, then head to Salzburg, Austria. From there (or Vienna) head to Prague. From Prague to Berlin. Then from Berlin to France. Maybe travel france for a bit, then fly to London. Explore London for a bit then go to Ireland. After Ireland I will fly to Rome and work my way back up to Milan. But is that itinerary even possible in 2 months?
I want to see everything but also really experience the countries. Unfortunately those can be at odds with one another. At least 2 months shouldn't require too much planning.
